Last December we had the pleasure again to visit beautiful Koh Lanta for a wedding on the enchanting island. Meanwhile, the bridge that connects Koh Lanta Noi with the larger island was completed, and so our journey went a little faster since we only have to cross a short distance on a ferry. Great. We were booked by a wedding couple from the United States to capture their intimate wedding on the tranquil island and we finally met them early morning for a first photo shooting at the Pimalai Resort & Spa. We used the stunning beach and the spectacular Pool of the resort to make our first set of wedding pictures and the charming couple followed us sovereign, and elegant on our photo tour. We met again in the afternoon to photograph the wedding ceremony and to our surprise, the bridal couple had chosen a Buddhist Wedding Ceremony over a Western Wedding on the Beach. Our curiosity for this ceremony was great. We knew the Pimalai Resort & Spa from a resent Western Wedding but a Buddhist Ceremony at this resort was new and exciting for us. On the beach we first marveled at the great wedding setup which the resort has built for this ceremony. 5 monks conducted the touching and exciting ceremony following various Buddhist rituals and shortly before the bridal couple exchanged their vows, the first rays of sunshine broke through the dark clouds and dipped the bridal couple into a wonderful evening light. If you might be interested in a wedding at Koh Lanta then I’d be delighted to talk about your upcoming wedding in detail. Either as a wedding photographer or to help you organize your perfect wedding day in paradise.
